Ford 8" Identification

    Can anyone tell me what this rearend came out of so I can tell the 12 year old parts guy? Ford 8", 2.79 Gears(I think).
    Marked on the tag are: WDW-AB 5EC
    2.79 8 555B
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    What I found for that tag is: Ford 8" C2, removable carrier, 2.79:1 ratio (non traction lock) third week of April 1978? The 555B is the plant code. Mustang, Cougar.....

    From the Ford microfiche, I come up with 75 - 78 Granada / Monarch. This one takes the small axle bearings, Ford # D8DZ 1225 B, and medium size diff. bearings, B7A 4221 A cones and B7A 4222 A races.
