I'm getting ready to do my car H.O.K. Candy Apple Red over Orion Silver and I was thinking about adding ice pearl. I've never used/seen ice pearl and was wondering what color ice pearl would look best on candy red over silver? I've heard nice things about the ice pearl.

Don't do it. It WILL take away from the beautiful DEPTH of finish that candy paints have!
It may add more "glitter" but it takes away the candy look.

I love ice pearl. But you have to understand how it works. Or at least how the basic principles of light reflection/refraction work. Light p***es through the candy, hits the base, and p***es back through the candy once more to your eye. The transparency of the medium alters the speed and color of the light. That's refraction. The depth of color in a good candy job speaks for itself. Ice pearl is layed over the top. It is not transparent. It doesn't need a particular base in order to reflect light as it is intended. Your ice pearl will catch the light and send it back to you before it has a chance to reach the candy/base. The depth of color that you would normally get through light refraction will be replaced with direct light reflection from the ice pearl. It can be pretty, but not over the top of a candy job. If you want some *****le, think about shooting some miniflake over your base, before the candy.

    I hope that makes sense.

I agree shoot HOK Silver MINI flake mixed with clear over your Orion Silver Base, that will give you all the sparkle you want and still maintain the depth of the Candy, mixing the flake with clear will also ad depth to the base before the candy is shot.

This is shot with Silver metallic base, then HOK MINI Flake added to clear, after shooting a couple layers of flake and clear till you get the coverage you want, shoot a couple more layers of JUST CLEAR to cover the flake and keep it from "migrating". Wait a day or so then scuff the clear and shoot your candy and clear.
These pics **** because is a ***** to photograph metalflake and get it to look as brilliant as the flake really is, but you get the idea of what you will have inder your candy
