The start to Red Oxide...Update pics

    Just starting some of the body work and working on getting it all in Red Oxide for the summer...Working a little at a time whenthe weather is nice!

    What do you think?

    Sorry for not knowing, but what is it? Its really cool, one you surely dont see every day. Again, very cool. Looking forward to seeing more pictures.

    Yeah, what is it? The lines are really cool though. Is it chopped or is that stock?

    Thanks guys...its a 1951 Dodge Wayfarer. I love the different lines, and it does look chopped!

    Tracy...its your car that inspired me to do mine in Red Oxide!

    slicksteve, it's just primer. I sprayed mine and theres still alot of stuff i need to do. I work an area and then reshoot it. here are a couple of pics of the difference.

    When I was building my '41 Ford PU in 1985 I had put it in red oxide while finishing the body work. I loved how it looked like it was make out of sculpting clay! The crappy weather in Washington state had me spraying the paint on it soon enough though. I'll bet you can seal the primer to keep the moisture out of it.

    Thanks Rusty! It is lowered 4 inches all the way around. It has a Flathead 6 with a Fluid Drive 3 speed transmission....Thanks!

  18. It's funny how are taste change over the years. 35 years ago you couldn't give one of the early 50's Chry. products away.
    Now I look at these two, and see some bad ass cars! You guys did a great job on them.:cool:
