My 13 year old son and I finally made time to lower the rear of our 1959 Fleetside over the weekend. I put the drop axle in a few years ago and have not had time to lower the back to match. Now I need to pull some springs out of the front end and make a notch in the frame.

That is how we did ours axle over spring. Be ready to notch your frame if you want it to drive nice and be able to hall stuff still.

I ditched my 1st one for a camaro subframe, and my current one is monte carlo. Yeah not trad, but the only way to get all the way down and have a good ride.

    Dave,

Looks good. I'm glad you had a successful weekend. Anxious to see more to come.

  12. Man, that looks good. There's one of those just down the road I've been after for years. It'd make a great shop truck. Oh well, may be time to go knock on the door again.
