I live in the next town over....so I'll probally not be there....I rather drive to the milltown meet and make an event of the show....Thats the whole point, to drive the cars.....

However, just an FYI: Parking is paved.....Im pretty sure this is where last years NCRS meet was at and there was plenty of parking there .... nice area hotels including this bw and the holiday inn is right up the street, good restaurants and some nice down town bars for drinks......

Also, right down the road is the Old A&M....those local to the area and that are in the Know ----know this is where cars drag race. It was where I was first arrested at age 16 going 101 in a 35 MPH zone in a chevelle....good memories. My father raced his Yenko nova there and he's got pics.....Rumor has it Jungle JIm Liberman also raced here one time with his 66 nova......
Two of our club members were the first guys to measure out and mark the road.....

On second thought.....count me in, Ill be at this show.

I personally was just saying that a more traditional car would be more appealing than that mustang for this site.

Between that and the word nationals in the title it just doesn't seem appealing for me and the cars I like.

    No offense ment.

Thats the promoter , Rick Finamore in his car- so people could place the name with the face and car....

Since the show will have every car type there- Im sure you will be able to see the cars you like.

BTW, the Milltown show is 2 days this year BUT people are right- you can easily go to both- they arent really that far from each other- like about an hour of fun driving....

as usual, just trying to spread the gospel about a new show and get shit on by the crew- cant anyone look just a bit outside the box and realize there ARE other shows out there ?

I for one am thrilled we finally have another large show to go to- quality events are few and far between in New England because our season is so short.

This WILL be worth going to guys- Rick is pouring his heart and soul into it and working really hard to make it a good show for YOU.

Chopshop: I did not mean to shit on anyone. When I first spotted this thread, I admit I was wondering why someone was putting up a show promo with a non-hamb car. I wasn't pissed at that. All was fine by me until someone later said "same weekend as Milltown". Then I got DEPRESSED, then pissed. Not at any one person... I was just immediately thinking that a limited-budget, one year old, club organized show, with cars that I never get to see, gets "compromised". That's all I meant. Milltown was such a big hit in it's first year...I really "knew" it would skyrocket next time as word travelled the east coast. I am just hooked on these cars and want to see more from other states. My biigest thrill is seeing these cars coming down the highways...

No offense take in any way- an opinion is always appreciated in my book. The Milltown guys DO put on a great show- hence why they are extending it to another day - more fun in the sun. Ill support ANYONES show- in fact, if you look on my website -the Milltown flier is on my shows list so anyone who wants to know about it CAN see it- and its been up there for quite a while.

Not knocking your statement and respecting what you said- but what makes a 'non HAMB' show? If a guy is a HAMBER - its a HAMB show.

If they accept traditional cars at the event- then anyone can attend who has one. Heck- there are a few shows out there my friends run I cant go to- I have BILLET (heavens no!) so I leave my car at home and still go - does that make me a non HAMBER? Nope.

Lance and the guys at Milltown do a great job and so do many others out there- this promoter has just asked me to help out in letting peole know abpout a show- If anyone else asked me - I would do the same.

BTW - Rick Finamore has been a lurker on this board for probably longer than I have even been here -in fact he is one of ther guys who told me about it before I got here and found a place to have fun.

What I dont understand is the 'if it aint traditional F*ck it ' attitude of some HAMBERS out there- there is just SOOOO much stuff to learn from and appreciate- take it ALL in guys... :) Dont know the newer stuff - some day -it too will be old (like us)

Years ago when I was in high school- I used to get thrown out of shows for having a car that was too new- it was a 64 Mustang and it was 1981. Need I say more???? Respect the hobby for everything it can give you in return (comraderie and just plain fun and a chance to get away for a few hours or a day from the 'real' world) . If we dont-it may not be here for years to come.

You wanna have fun? GO to both shows- there is a street rod show in NH at the Anheuser Busch the same Sunday- heck -try to get there too! Its just too many shows to do in a short NE season.

Ok enough of MY rant. CAn we now just try to get people to want to go to the show?

Has anyone put a recent post up about the Milltown show? if not, they should- get the word out that its 2 days now and let people make their own choice on which to attend- Go for BOTH!

WOW,that was well put Lenny, and I guess I can agree with all of it,I to,was just trying to say good things about the show, and tring to get people to go,I understand weird coming from me,but come on guys, not every car show can only have traditional cars, and not every Hamber is a traditional car guy which I have seen on here,I have a traditional 32 roadster but sometimes dont mind looking at the other style cars, and all the same I can appreciate the work in them,So please guys stop bashing on this show or the wicked Mustang.

Thanks for the clarification of the reason for the picture.

I was justing suggesting a more traditional 40's - 50's hotrod picture may appeal to more poeple from this demographic, but you have explained the reason for it.

Again didn't mean to offend anyone, I was just giving an opinion.

And on top of that I don't even have a car that runs! so who am I to say anything.

The best thing about this whole conversation is that the promoter of the aforementioned show is getting alot of exposure.

I for one am going to try to hit both shows that weekend. I consider myself a "car guy" and like pretty much most of what is out there. No sense not broadening your horizons a bit because your tastes will change over the years. How may of you are still wearing tighty whities and playing with matchbox cars? OK bad example I am sure many are still playing with matchbox cars.:D Hell if we all were to post up a list of ALL the cars we have owned in our lives I am sure we would have quite a variety and find good and bad things in all of them.
