    NO Way!

Damn, I've been away for a week and come back to find bad news.

Bill was a wonderful guy. I first met him online round about 1996.
At the time I was really impressed by his art and contracted him to do a rendering of my dad's '30 roadster which was at the time nearing completion.
In late 1996 I sent him build photo's and in early 1997 he finished the drawing. The car finally hit the street in August of 1997.

    Bless you Bill

I'm sad to hear about Drake. My sincere condolances to all who knew him.

Here's a sketch I've been working on and I'd like your opinion: Can a full fendered street coupe run on Dirt tires, or is that like driving a Jeep in town?

Hey guys, Sorry to hear about Bill Drake.I was always aware of his work thru the years and it was neat to see he was on the HAMB when I first got on here. His style will be missed! I decided to put my sketches I been doing for the last week on because I never have time to finish anything. Whatever comes to mind is what I usually do. Like for the last few weeks on the HAMB , Denise , hotrodladycruiser, was wanting some fiesta hubcaps for her Olds conv. That lead to me drawing a 48 with a Olds grille with a couple of bars missing with a bunch of fiesta flippers bolted to the bars making a toothy , fishy grin. Somebody brought up Cotton Werksman's T , had to see if I could still draw it from memory right quick to keep in practice. Then there is the Corvair with a chopped top and a furry package tray. The 60 Chevy front end is from a anotherthought to from left field comes a molded up oval window bug. Just take a convertible body and put a sedan roof back on it, make some window frames, ripple hubcaps, it would be cheap! Had to put something on. By the way, Norwell , everybody, great show!:D

I was going to say "best show yet" but then I want to say that every week.
Sad news about Mr Drake, but his passing should serve as an example to everyone to try to achieve excellence in all we do, the art that he created will stand as the best memorial that could ever be erected to his memory. He will always live on through his work, as will the rest of you talented people. You guys blow me away every week, great stuff.

Here's my contribution for this week.
Just got my confirmation as a vendor at the Roundup. Stop by and say Hi. Most of the paintings I have posted will be there.
Jeff....your art constantly blows me away.
Sorry if the picture is too big.

    YOW!
Mr. Norwell, what's your definition of 'large' (as pertaining to these images...)?
Is this an underpainting for an oil piece?
Thanks for posting such incredible work. awesome.
