I checked out the search and didn't find any threads on this, it's suppose to be a genuine working 50's town ... seems kinda like a cool idea, they encourage car clubs and groups, looks like some great photo op's could be found there,... but is it just a little to "foo-foo" for the HAMB clan ?

A group of St Louis Hot Rods went there two years ago,and it was fun. A village of 50,s buildings, movie, food in a diner, some old cars.A very pleasant afternoon.

I've been there a number of times. Probably not as big as it apears in the pictures, but is really nice and a lot of fun. Our car club made an excursion there once and the owner is very accomodating and friendly guy. He opened it up just for us. All he wanted was a donation to his favorite charity. I have been there when the diner has been open. They serve the normal hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fries, Cokes and shakes for normal prices. He keeps adding to it and I haven't been there in a couple years. It is on about 10-15 acres behind the owners house. You can spend 2-3 hours there looking at everything. Lots of collectables. He is also a car guy so he knows what we like.
