Good for them, I have the same problem and spend hundreds of dollars on car covers each year (they don't last long in the desert sun). Developers and property pimps (real estate agents) are the ones pushing these laws so they can make more money.

Just signed up and feel better for it. Since I don't have a garage, my car has to sit out back on a slab and the cops have been a pest ever since I moved up here. They kept saying that it looked abandoned and sadi they were going to tow it away, even though it's on MY property and RUNS AND DRIVES!! Two winters ago...like dead of winter...the hassle just got to be too much so I made a trip to Lowes and built a privacy fence. Now, if they wanna tag my stuff, they'll be trespassing! They said that my fence was illegally built cause I didn't get a permit! When does the red tape end?!?! Oh, and I WOULD just build a garage, but city regulations state taht it has to be 11 feet from the alley and "x" amount away from the sidewalk. This would give me a 3 to 4 foot by 15 feet building that resembled a hallway on the inside!! Anybody know of some cheap land with a shack and kitchen I can buy? I'm in the market.
