Who chromes in california?

My buddy just picked up a 45 GMC pick up, all the crome has been painted over with black primer. I just wanted to get a contact with a chrome shop here in so. cal or nor. cal. Please let me know of any body. Thanks

 

Neutron Plating (Anaheim) -- not sure if they do automotive, IPS (San Diego), Automotive Plating (Las Vegas), and ABC (Reno). I don't think there are many more places in California that plate -- EPA wants them out. The last 2 are in Nevada, but I think they are close enough that you could get the parts to them easily and I know they both do auto stuff.

Since its a '45 maybe it is a "Blackout" WWII truck. Might me kinda cool left as-is.

 

Orange county no longer does outside plating. Modern plating in Santa Ana.

Walker's Custom Chrome does all of our chrome, and all of Kevin Kay's Restorations (Aston Martin..Pebble Beach type stuff) they're in Shasta County, Ca. There as good as Sherm's without the ****ed prices and ego!

For sure, not cheap, but worth it. A shop I worked at had stuff done for the high dollar cars that we did and the work was always top notch. They're not just chromers either, on one car we had a large hole in some stainless trim filled and you couldn't even tell it had been done. Their stainless welder has something like 7 choices of wire to make sure they get the right color tone. I believe they have a molten pot metal sprayer to fix holes in that also.
