Tonight, Fri 3-14-08 at the old drive in burger joint (JR's) on Main near the mall - 5:00pm to 8:00 pm. Second Fri every month. It is listed on the 'callendar' on the www.pismoderelicts.com site.
been to jr's a couple times in santa maria. not really anything going on. Just about 10 cars show up every time. Usually the same ones. If you go look out for the 54 ford, flamed with green wheels. the owner geoff is a cool guy. Also the 39 plymouth owned by mark.
Years ago it was the A&W (50's & 60's) when we cruised there in the 80's & early 90's it was Howard's Beef & Bunn. Geoff also known as "Buzz" is a real Kustom & Hot Rod guy (his Ford is a '53 Coupe with a 312 Y-Block). Mark and he started the Headhunters CC and are traditional guys from the get go (Mark is the baseman for the Hydromatics Band). If you see them tell them I said HEY!
There was a nice mix of ~ 20 jalopies at JR's. Got there about 7, didn't see a 53 cpe. Lots of HP represented!

I recognize this is an old thread but, Yes, a lot of folks, on average about 75, go to the Pismo Derelicts on Saturday mornings. Cars start showing up at 7:30 and generally clear out by 9:30, 10 am.
This pic was taken a few weeks ago. The photographer gets on the roof of a building - he got my copilot (Jager) looking out the window as we arrived. Jager loves going there!
