Ok, got a small t-bucket. Got a pretty hot 350 in it with a th350 ******. Just put in a 3500 stall converter recommended by a friend. I need to run a cooler with that type of stall. My problem is space. I would like to run a cooler with a fan since most the slippage will be in the street, but it would have to be small (8X12) and fit close to the underside of the body (minimal airflow). If i go with out the fan, i can possibly put 2 small coolers (4X- heat sink style)under there , more to the back and those would have more air flow. I have a cooler in my radiator, i dont know if i could use that in conjunction with another. Any recommendations. I know i could mount one on the radiator, but ive heard it is better to separate engine cooling and ****** cooling. And i dont have under body exhaust. And if on the radiator is the best idea, my grill shell has alot of room for it and low visibility.
On my 27 about the only good place I could find to mount mine was inside the frame rails at a angle. Haven't done it yet, but my plan is to put a approx. 6" dia. x 2-3" thick fan (if I can find one that size) under the seat to blow through the floor onto the cooler.
You should be able to run a frame rail type, or a B&M compact style cooler, under the floor or along the frame. I wouldnt think you should need a fan since the car is so open. Let me know if you need any help, I would be more than happy to come over and lend a hand.
