I hate the idea of having to use fiberglass rear fenders on my truck but Steel ones are impossible to find. Can anyone give me their thoughts on the 'glass fenders? Is there more than one company making them? Which ones are the best quality? Are they pretty much ready for paint without a lot of surface prep? Your experience a help is appreciated.
yes , wescott is the only fenders i ever thought were worth using..but it has been a while since i have messed with a glass fender..there may be something new out there and yes ,they will need some fitting and prep before paint http://www.wescottsauto.com/
I bid on a steel left hand one on e-bay the other day, it was in good shape and went for over $600.00 with shipping ,way above my budget. When I actually need them will go for glass.
i used summit in front of mine---fit great & hardly needed any work----bought bebops for rear & running boards---pieces of shit didnt come close to fitting ---had to do a lot to make em fit---i bought bebops cause i didnt want the dimple for spare---my steel ones were destroyed by a sandblaster--plan on fixing steel ones later ---wanna drive it this summer
Does anybody make a wider rear fender for 38-40 Ford pickupsin fiberglas or steel? How about any "how-tos" on widening the stock ones? Thanks...
Thanks krylon.....they don't have the wide ones listed but I emailed to see if they can get them.....
