Will it work and look ok? I just bought a 39 ford truck cab and figuring thats all I have right now and I want to get it on the road asap its going to be a Rudy style "bobber" truck. One more question could I cut down a pre 81 ford shortbed bed for the back and it look ok?
    Thanks for any help

pretty sure 35-41 trucks shared the same frame as cars...

For 300 bucks with brakes and a full suspension I guess I should go for it eh?

Styleside or stepside on the pre81 bed? Styleside would look pretty out of place I think and the step side wouldn't look good with the fenders on it. If you just cut down the box and run it with no fenders or some gl*** or steel originals it might look pretty good. Have you considered a well-done short stake bed?

Same frame other than some different body mounts, will work fine.
Here's a link to show specs:

I wasent going to run fenders. I was going to cut it down in length and width to work. I dont know if a short stake bed would look right on this guy.Who makes repops?

The frames interchange, but pickup and open cars had one guage thicker steel,in them. This should not be a problem if you keep the frame intact or brace properly when modifing the center section etc.
