1953 Pontiac Wiring Diagram

Hi, does anyone have a 1953 Pontiac Chieftain wiring diagram they could scan or know of one on the internet? My positive battery cable is hot all the way to the starter, and the ignition switch is smoking, I'm trying to find the problem. There seems to be a old ground wire which looks like it might have gone to the starter but I'm not 100% any thoughts on this ground cable?

Thanks Rodknocker, is this for 1953? Looks like it can answerer some of my questions regardless.

Looks like there is two grounds on the battery. Would the ground that goes to the fender not being hooked up cause any of my symptoms?

I think its for a 57.Yes that body ground can cause many "ghost problems".
