For about $300 Speedliner will send you everything you need to start a bedliner business . I bought it for my travel trailer restoration . We used it for some of our trucks at work and I'm using it for my own cars .
I used some of that roll on bedliner stuff and then the shiny "space age" insulation from the home improvement store. My car was hot, cold, and loud. Damn hot rods anyway.
thanks for sharing this info. im about ready to buy sound deadening for my wagon-- which is a lot of it. this article definitely helps. -scott noteboom
If you guys can wait a bit, I think Kirk is going to give a workshop about sound-deadneing-insulation.
I just bought a bunch of http://www.secondskinaudio.com/vibration-mat/damplifier-pro.php I will tell you how it works after the drive to and from Lone Star.
You will like it, if you have carpet to put over the deadener then use a bit of duct tape on the seams, it adds a bit more sound dampining for almost no cost in terms on time or dollers. Also I use a bit of calking around the dash and at any p*** throughs for wires and it helps as well.
I used Lizard Skin on a 46 chevy and it worked great. It looks alot like bedliner, but works ten times better.
I have not heard the name before....would like to find out what it is... can you explain a bit or let me know where to find it on the web?? thanx...
over on hotrodders bulletin board there is a ton of info. have been using micro ballons and latex paint very inexpensive and work. lots of comments and experience.
