I dont have an Ipod but I do have Serius satelite radio. I bought extra docks so I can use it in my truck, on my Harley Ultra, and in my coupe. We got a boombox with a dock too so we can use it at the swaps, camping, on the patio etc... You can hook it up the same ways mentioned for hooking up the Ipod and it has a built in FM transmitter.

I have mine wired up the exact same way as Saouthlaws Gotti because I used his idea. The sound is great and having the iPod right there beside you to change the song or the volume is a nice convenience.

My iPod stays charged for most of all my trips I take in my car, although, for some of the longer ones, I take the cig. lighter charger out of my daily driver and use it to keep the iPod charged.

Also, everyone of these cables to hook this up can be bought at a Radio Shack.

This is what something like I was trying to figure out too. I'm actually looking for how to possibly wire an AUX jack into my factory AM radio. I ***ume I have to have a switch in there somwhere, but I can't find any information on doing it anywhere. Nobody cares about a 30 year old AM radio (hehe).

    Does anyone have any idea?

Lindross' Bubba Tunes is so freakin cool. I need to get one for my garage...except that I don't have an Ipod or even know how they work. Fortunately my two year old has an iPod and seems to have a complete understanding of all the audio/video components in our house. I wish I was kidding.

    Well,
Here is my attempt. I was not looking to go high tech for the roadster. I just wanted to have something to play tunes without adding a radio and on the cheap. Below is what I came up with. A DIY amp ($9.95) including volume control, an old Lucky Strike tin ($8.00), and some speaker jacks (less than $10). The two wires coming out of the side are the positive and ground. The knob is a piece of knurled br*** from work. Oh yeah, I put a switch on the back to turn it on and off. Worked good before I put it together and I need to do a test run in the tin. I was really shocked how load and clear it was. Again, I am not very particular. Kinda cool. I just used an old gas heater to locate one of the stereo speakers. - Tony

the cheapest and quickest ways out is to use some surround sound computer speakers. most are 12 volt power off the 110 volt plug. i cut up an iphone car charger to charge the ipod and plug the speaker jack right into the ipod. both connections are in the ash tray and speakers got mounted all around the car with the sub woofer hidden under the dash.

unplug the ipod and close the ash tray and no one knows its in there.

Im trying something new in my next project. I have a smartphone that I am plugging straight into an amp and listening to live365.com and using the volume on the phone. It works great. 10,000 stations, cant beat it!

Did you ever try it in the car? Is it loud enough?
