just moved and i need some help (san jose area)

i just moved down here to Los Altos from Roseville, I don't have all my tools down here yet but I've been trying to get my 55 ford on the road asap. I'm in the process of dropping the front end and i ordered all new bushings but i cant find a place around here that will press my old ones out and press the new ones in? seems like everywhere i have looked was some Porsche or Mercedes shop that won't touch anything i bring in. anyone have a good little shop in the area i can go to? or if someone has a press?

Give these guys a try, they're about a half hour north of you.

Bridges Tire and Wheel, 1099 California Dr, Burlingame, 650-344-5253.

They are one of the best front-end shops on the peninsula and have been around for a long time. I have been doing business with them since the late 60's. Fair prices too.

I work at a machine shop in Livermore, we got a press you are welcome to use.

 

I am about 2 miles closer than Bridges and have better freeway access. And I just bought a new Chinese press. If you would like to be it's first it's OK with me. Just be gentle. PM me if you want to use it.

 

Thanks for all the quick responses! i think i got the bushing problem taking care of, but if people still know of any good little shops or steel/ welding shops it would still be helpful.
