Hang in there man,I've only been down from a bike wreck since 11/19/07. I really haven't got anything done in the garage since then. Just take your time and heal up. Take care and my best to you & yours. Later Rob
Hang in there and look forward to getting back into the shop. Use the cars for motivation to get better, and back on your feet. We had thousands of dollars of medical bills between 2004 and 2005 and now college tution for our youngest daughter. I appreciate every chance I get in the car shop working on the hotrods and am very thankfull everybody is in good health aroundhere. And hopefully the 54F100 project will get done this year I have been working on this one for 10plus years now. jim H
I didnt have a stroke, but the guy I bought my model A off of had one,he could barely use his left arm,He said he was going to make a trike out of the model A but then he had the stroke. GOD PUNISHED HIM JUST FOR THAT THOUGHT turning a model A coupe into a trike
i'm a quadriplegc, my hands don't work for ****...there's very little i can do physically, but i still like looking at my junk
youll be back to work man...dont rush it...look at it this way....if all theyll do is sit and wait for ya....they aint going no where right? Theyll be ready just as much when your physically ready....but since your mentally ready id just p*** the time looking into what you need for them...maybe even get into sketching up pictures and building them on paper....the more well thought out it is now...the better result in the end ....when you do get back out there...youll be that much more motivated......
I'll be praying for you, nobody appreciates their health like they should.I have been recently diagnosed with cancer and don't know whats going to happen yet, just hang in there.
maybe get some friends to come over do a little work in the garage. you can help with what you can or just watch and shoot the bull. either way you could be in the shop where you want to be. wouldn't be the same thing but you could enjoy the atmosphere and hang out with some car buddys. i know that if i had a friend in your situation i would be all over something like this to help a friend. i bet your friends would too. how'd you get shot in the head?
Use the new tools and the cars in the garage to motivate you to work hard on your physical therapy and recovery efforts. You can do it, keep trying and working on it, even away from the therapy sessions, do small things every day and soon they add up to big things. The cars will be fine in the garage, just waiting for you to get back on them. Get yourself better and then have fun with the cars.
This is the way to do it of you have a good friend or two. If you cant do this, try to make a plan for the car(s) and stick with it. DO whatever you can each day to work towards your goal. Even if it is locating a part or a phone number of a place to get a part. I am a paraplegic from a motorcycle accident 7/10/03, I built my mustang over the last 3 1/2 or 4 years with the help of good friends, and doing whatever I could myself. Most importantly NEVER GIVE UP. Tough times dont last, tough people do......... James
Use it for a goal in your physical therapy. If you like to read, read about Dennis Byrd. http://books.google.com/books?id=dOsGAAAACAAJ&dq=inauthor:Dennis+inauthor:Byrd

might have to find new ways to do things, necesity is the mother of invention. my father became wheelchair bound for the last year and a half of his life, he found all kinds of funky ways to do things and not have to ask for help.
I have met Dennis Byrd. He is a walking miracle. He is a volunteer coach for the football team at the school my daughter graduated from and they named the stadium after him. He is an inspiration. I agree with Roothawg, you won't regret it. (I have a '39 tudor also) J.
