That's cool but I'm deeply concerned about the opening line of that post, which begins..
"My Uncle Dad bought the car from the Guy..."

I saw the youtube video of it a while back though and it looks like a riot. I'm amazed how many V8 bugs there really are in the world! I'd think you have one of the fastest for sure.

It's actually still over at Tom's. The weather has been **** and I've been gone almost every week for the last two months. I've got a nice spot cleared out for it in the garage to get to work on it though. The rumble should be no sweat at all. I should have it on the road much quicker than that. It would just be nice if I could stay in town for a couple of weeks! I'm REAAAAAALLY jonesin to get it out and stomp it!

Can't wait to see that thing at the Rumble! Great work, guys. I found this thread after a HAMB-search for 'VW.' I bought a '69 Beetle today.

I wish I could find a group near Cleveland or Akron to help me get my shoebox going, and help with their projects!

    Final update.
Car was finsihed on time ( our goal was to drive it in the Motorrama Car Show in 5 weeks). We got that part done. Scoob the owner was to final finish ( Paint etc) over the rest of the winter etc.
Scoob sold the car on EBay a few weeks ago. I dont know where it went.
It was a fun project for theguys at our wed evening get togethers etc....:D

I hope another HAMBER got it, I guess we won't know unless they post . I wanted it but we had just bought a new house and couldn't afford another car at the time.
