Anyone ever seen it done? Is is a bolt up? I think the front end on the early Comets is clunky. A 62 Comet with a Falcon front clip would make a killer custom.
It would end up being a Falcon with Comet 1/4's . Which are cooler looking than the Falcon. Its definitely do-able. The doors for comet and falcon are the same in 62, the Comet doors just have that little potmetal trim on them.
The radiator core support has to be swapped, which is the only welding involved. The side aprons are the same, so the fenders will bolt on as soon as the core support is in place. Be sure to get the core support for the Falcon front clip you use - '60-'61 is one style, and '62-'63 is the other. -KK
Not the whole clip, but I'm currently running a Comet bumper on my Falcon. Not a bolt-on like I thought.
Here are a couple pic's of one I owned briefly. Not enough TLC (Time, Labor Cash) for me to do anything with it so it's with a new owner. It was known as the Falcomet or the Common.
I have no idea, but it's probably just a bolt on. I'm not interested in buying it, not really a big fan of Rancheros. I tried to find the link to the ad for you but I cant locate it. If I come across it I'll PM you.
