Too many to list...but I got the same bag o' tapes that you got...the daily has a skippy *** CD player, so I only listen to my old c***ettes in the garage, Motivational Music!! "There's nothing, there's no one To stand in our way Get dressed up and messed up Blow our cares away Our minds set on seeing this night through till day... We Rule The Streets Tonite... Until the morning light..." Gotta find that on 8-TRACK once the Chevy is running! ("Tonite" by the Go-Gos)
I keep "Up Against The Wall" by David Peel & the Lower East Side in the car for when I get pulled over. Cops love it! Generally, when I pull up the onramp and head down the freeway on a long trip I stick in "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida". By the time that's over, I'm settled in for the drive and I know what I'm in the mood for.
Knife Chase by Tom Waits off his Blood Money album but it's gotta be on a mean street at night in the bad car. Paul
hot rod lincoln by either commander cody or the rev horton heat bring my cadillac back by baker knight and the knightmares rebel rouser by...uh can't think of it off the top of my head just droped in by kenny rogers and the first edition and many many more
the penetrator's whole "locked and loaded" album i think will be the theme music for the new car -stay tuned for pictures in a few weeks. other than that, i CANNOT wear out i get around and 409 by the beach boys.
This might not be what your after but I listen to lots while driving. Usually the CD's I am the least bored of right now the following are some I cant stop listing to - US Roughnecks Lars and the *******s Die Hunns (my fav. to drive too) US Bombs the Briggs AF Rancid -(all) well I can go on and on, but I dont think thats what you had in mind. Basically I like music I can drive fast too..
Out of the 40 or 50 cars I have owned, there was only one of them with a working Radio/ C***ette player. And that was almost 20 years ago, so the music choice might be a little dated. Jethro Tull mostly...
For cruising, it's 'Lowdown in the Street' - ZZ Top For road trips, it's anything by Jon Spencer Blues Xplosion or the Gourds. For parking lot drinkin', it's Hank Thompson or Lefty Frizzell.
I can't play much that I like from the rock spectrum because I always discover I'm going 85 in a schoolzone, driving to the music and not the world... My compromise is to turn on a Spanish station, usually resulting in a cheerful racket that doesn't affect my driving. But I've never had a car with a working radio for long, either.
I like to listen to Drive on's old lady humming with her head in my lap when I am out on a long cruise..... HC
Man, who needs tunes when your cruising, don't even have a functioning am radio in by 51. just a pair of pipes is enuff
Try driven across country with "RADAR LOVE", see how many tickets ya get!!!!!!!!!!!!............OLDBEET
I like Radar Love by Golden Earing for a road trip and some Bleed for a frantic night's cruisin09dfpo=[[cat's steppin on the damn keyboard!] But for a radical evening, loaded up on crack with a cammed-up big block screamin under the hood? Gimme Harry Conig or Glen Miller. I usta listen to Spike Jones but one dark night, driving the back roads in the Rocky 33, loaded on acid, I saw God! I attribute the occurance directly to Spike Jones. .....and the Rocky 33 never had a stereo.
"Strawberry Letter #23"- Brothers Johnson "AC/DC"-SWEET "Chip Away the Stone"-Aerosmith "Big Women"- GBH
A-V8 Boogie by Jack Baymoore Little Deuce Coupe (Go figure) Tornado by The Jiants, 1st rockabilly record I ever bought...wore out about 3 copies before I got a cd player!!
"Rose Marie" by Slim Whitman. "Da Doo Run Run" by Shaun C***idy "Rocket Man" by William Shatner. Anything by David H***elhof or Menudo.
