yesterday, i installed my front windshield on my '53 Chevy (sedan).
went pretty smooth(thanks to some advice from some HAMB friends, thanks)
everything went good, was careful with gl***. managed to NOT get any window goop on my paint.
here's where my only problem started, and my advice to you...
i used "3M Window Weld" for my install.

when i was done, i went to pull the plunger out of my caulk gun and it exploded. the plunger somehow pulled the backing out of the tube and i ended up with the sh*t all over me.
my advice, DON'T GET IT ON YOUR HANDS! it doesn't come off.
i tried every dangerous:eek: solvent i had, srcubbed with a brush, dishsoap, sh*t, i even tried carb cleaner....and granted some of it did take SOME of it off...but i'm stuck with black hands for now, 'till it rubs itself off. hehe. its annoying, but kinda funny to.

so if any has any suggestions(other than "don't get it on your hands") as far as getting this stuff off, feel free to let me know. hehe.

    enjoy.

That happened to me with some gas tank sealer...I'd use borax, and lava soap...and time...It will probably not come off totally for several days to weeks.

im sure whatever you find to take it off, you will not want sinking into your skin and eventually your blood stream..i would just leave it alone..jack off with both hands and soon enough it will be worn off.:D:rolleyes:

Walk around the local convenience store parking lot talking to yourself. Occasionally try to start up a confusing conversation with people as they go into the store.

I hope you don't deal with clients for a living, I could see you extending that hand for a handshake and them just staring at your hand.....afraid.

Brush some POR15 on your hand, when it wears off in two weeks it should take the 3M stuff with it. :D

Perhaps you could try a paint stripper. Just try a small spot at first, though. Give it about 10 minutes to work before washing off.

Or you could go into the bathroom, turn on some smooth jazz, light some candles, make yourself a nice hot bubble bath, and have your wife give you a "m***age". After an hour or two your skin may be soft enough to help it wear off easier. If nothing else, you had fun trying....

MSDS has good solid info.-----says to wash with soap and water, then says to avoid water. NOW, what do I do?
