who makes an aluminum flywheel for flathead fords?

  1. i need an aluminum flywheel for a project i am working on
    it will be bolted to a model b crank and i am doing the flathead starter conversion also
    anyone have one or know where i can buy a new one

  3. Speedway has them in their catalog. I think their are others such as Taylor Engines in Whittier Ca. I think it is an item that you should shop as prices vary.

    OK,I guess your asking what year motor ya got then,there not the same. If you don't know ,look at water out let on top of heads,center of head is older,front of head is newer.

  7. the motor is a 32 model b that will have an olds 3 port head
    insert bearings counter balanced crank

    If you put a v8 flathead alum. flywheel on that motor, the starter conversion is a little tricky. message Just plain Bill and he can talk you through it. I know how it works, but have never done it. But Bill has. Good luck.--TV
