i saw somewhere that there was a brackett that mounted to the intake bolts, to mount a gen/fan when their was no factory mount to the intake
The commonest bolt-on flange was Weiand...it simply attached to the front 4 manifold bolts. I've seen simple fabricated plate equivalents--just a flat piece with a U cutout and four bolt holes set horizontally and a vertical plate to take the fan/generator mount. Manifolds with no flange were for '39-41 applications that had crank mounted fan and no need for anything other than the offset gen mount.
Ive got to make one too..might do a run and sell them on here..will be a bit funkier than just a plate, will have gussets with gofast holes in em.Tig welded, will get the parts laser cut. anyone interested at sixty bucks?
Has anyone ever considered utilizing a racemate charging system in the back of each water pump pulley and running a belt in a perfect triangle from crank to each water pump?
So...who has those now?? Only ones I have are ancient finds, and there are lots of bracketless manifolds around.
Bill Papke in Huntington Beach, CA might have that bracket and other ones for flatheads. http://www.papkeent.com/
The bracket in the pic says V-Tardel on it... Anybody know if he still makes them? They aren't in his online catalogue anymore...
Bruce, i havent found one yet those are out of stock..... i just made one up tonight, will see how it works out...
Found this thread and it looks like it just turned 3 years old. I would like to bring it back to life by asking "anyone with pics of this part and Generator mounted to your flattie running 2 or 3 carb set-up?
