A friend of mine bought a 32 3 window coupe with a hemi in Coffeyville, KS back in '76. He paid $700 for it. I had a chopped, channeled, fenderless '30 A coupe at the time and we drove up from Tulsa 'cause we heard there were old cars "all over the place" in Coffeyville. We spotted the '32 in a guy's backyard, knocked on the door, and asked if it was for sale.
My vote for the one pictured. 3 window larrys is great but i think he gets more points for being a hamber right
Im loving all those but mine will be built along the lines of the top two photos as I dont want to chop it (yeah I know.....) I really like channeled cars anyway and Im short so its all good. Even easier as the body was previously channled and I have no subfloor. Apologies to those that have already seen this a few times. Have a 392 about to built with this for it too.
Okay guys- don't laugh .....this is a fave as well, I guess I am just in love with those ground huggin dueces.... Check out the grin on that dude!!!!!LOL,LOL
When I first got my 3w(see avitar) there were fragments of it's 12 inch channel job. I've since raised it back up onto the frame. Mine will be full fendered, stock body..... although I like the east coast channeled look.
That is pretty rad. Someone should build a modern version but with a Z'd frame. The frame rail is halfway up the door! The grille would look alot better if it matched the cowl. But we have been bashing the graffiti coupe for that offense for years!
Wow, I really like that!! Time to go hack up a model kit!! I really like the extreme channel, but the grill could be set up a little more to make it flow. I really like how the engine looks like it's about to jump out of the car!
Is that the car with the Kinmonts? I think its called the Warrior. Where was that pic taken, and when. (if thats in Austin) then i know its the same car. I've only seen it one other time and it is was in its garage. I dont think its taken out much at all if its the same car.
Having ridin in it,polished the underside, gone to carshows with it as a 15 year old kid, this 62 year old still loves the Bakan car.
This is the "Purple Wonder" Chopped and Sectioned 1932 Ford Vicky..Full race flat head in it For Sale right now i might add..idk the price
Have to agree with Zombie, this is where it starts with me for '32 3 windows. Larry's X is a well detailed ride though.
My favorite channeled 3w deuce is prolly Charles Kraft's that was featured in, I believe, the May '58 Rod and Custom. It's channelled super-hard with the tires just peeking over the quarters and my answer for all the 'they didn't build em that way in the 50s' guys who seem to think that the only thing ever built then were highboys. It had motorcycle fenders. I posted a request for more pics last year here on the HAMB, but noone had any, the only pic I have is from the 'Rod and Custom in the 50s' book - page 227...
