Well it's been about a month since I posted anymore pics of the build and I've had several requests for more metal ****! As I said before EVERTHING on this car has been built from scratch by me with the exeption of the axles and the wheels/tires. I'm still going to bring it to the Lonestar roundup but I'm not sure it will be running by then. I lost several days last week going round and round with the police and the insurance company after my 1998 dodge diesel was stolen from my driveway. I'll lose a couple more once i get the insurance looking for another. Oh well what can you do!

As you can see it's sitting on the 32 frame now. I have the doors made and will take off the gorilla tape door hinges tomorrow and hang them for real. I didn't like the stock type windshield so I tried my hand at a Duvall...I made it from the leftover 18 ga s**** for a test and if I have time before the roundup I'll make one in stainless. I borrowed a 32 grille shell from my good friend Jamie Johnson over at Hotrod Haven and made a shorter copy of it, again out of 18 ga scratch. I dropped a model a axle 2" but havent put it on yet (hopefully tomorrow). I'll try to post some more before the show. Look forward to seeing some of you guys there! As soon as the whole thing is finished I'll sit down and try to write a full tech on it. Athough I can probably build a whole car faster than I can type about it!!

I did. Here's a picture of one of the bucks. I could make this panel free hand but plan on making more of these and wanted them all to be the same. When you decide to give it a try just take your time and make your buck accurate as it will affect the final outcome. Whether freehand or over a buck give it a try. I'm sure you'll do fine!

Great work, I am humbled. If I tried that at best it would come out like something Gumby would drive!

All I had to go from was a very old fibergl*** body. But I have since found a cowl and cab minus the turtle deck and my turtle deck fits it, so I guess it's pretty close. And hey... I liked gumby!!

It's pretty boring but I really enjoy it! I quit a $50,000 a year job to do this stuff and wouldn't even consider going back! Especially when my two year old daughter says "Daddy builds Hotrods"!!

It took me a couple of minutes to figure out what you meant about the phone number! Pretty observant! Almost everything in my shop is made from scratch including the wall that used to be a realestate sign! Look forward to meeting a bunch of you guys at the roundup!

I found a picture of the cowl buck. It's pretty basic, just gives you the basic shape. Then a little work on the english wheel and bead roller. Thanks for all the replies.

Just want to say that Eddie builds awesome stuff! You all gotta check out his work. I have had the opportunity to check out the progress on the 27 in person and I still have goosebumps. Super cool stuff built by one of the hardest working, nicest down to earth guys I have ever met.
I am fortunate enough to be heading out to Austin for the Roundup with Eddie and some other buddies.

Come hell or high water we are getting this scratch build to the show!

Henry Ford would be proud thats awsome . I have one question How many hours do you have in to this to this point ? You have to be the most talented person on this board and thats saying alot because there are some really skilled folks on here.

  29. Thats not talent, thats black magic! In days gone by you would have been burnt at the stake for skills like that!
    Pure metal ****.

While the majority of us are trying to get one bend in a piece of 18 gage in the right place to make a patch panel you build a complete grill shell. Nice car and fantastic work.

After seeing that, sides of my little roadster might actually turn out to look like they should.
