Hey all. Droppin' in for my first post. I came from the Shoeboxford.com message board where I am also Michaelthe9. I'm 47, married with kids. Don't worry, they know that I gotta work on my rides so they don't get in the way. I have a 1964 Valient wagon with the '60s kustom look. 273 V8 and a push button shift auto trans. One more week end and she'll be painted. She'll be silver with a silver metalflake roof and silver and red flake sprinkled all over (including my garage floor, driveway, sidewalk...). Then candy red scallops. Also have a '51 Ford Vicky waiting for an EFI 5.0 HO/AOD combo. Then she'll get the kustom treatment too. I'm not commin' in empty handed here. Anybody been to www.huffreport.com? If not, I highly recommend it. Just found it this week and man what a collection of cool old-time stuff he's got. Car shows, Kustoms, stockers, old buildings, toys, etc. He even has old pictures of random people from the '40s and '50s showin' off their cars. I also bring custom/restoration/collision body and paint knowledge to the table. I learned during high school in various shops, quit the unhealthy work-place scene and got a job in aerospace as an engineer. Now I do the paint and body stuff for a hobby. Howdy From Texas... I am also on Shoeboxford as hankcash. I usually check it out about once or twice every couple of weeks and rarely post. I am on the Hamb about 8 hours a day (durring work) post some pics of your rides.. welcome- HC

Yep! I'm at work too right now. I just hired in (5 weeks ago) at Raytheon and they haven't found a place to put me yet. But...they gave me a UNIX work station with a Windows emulator. If I can figure out how to get pictures through UNIX, I'll post some pix of my rides. In the meantime you can see my vicky and the her current state of existance in the "Members Autos" section. I think the title is something like Michael's Slick Vick. Michael

Aw, Big Daddy man. Giv'em a chance. Ya never know wacha got when new blood comes around. This place is way cool and has a fantastic diversity. Let's see what he comes up with when it comes time to layin'down the dime for his first (?) real ride. I'm really diggin' the stuff some of these cats are puttin' down in the posts. I don't think I will be getting anything done for the rest of the week at this rate. Oh, wait. I forgot. I don't have any work to do yet. I reccon I'd better take advantage of it while I can. Hey magnet, I don't recognize the moniker but I am glad to see some shoeboxford buds 'round. This place is hoppin'. The Vicky is still sportin' the flatty. I haven't removed it or the FordOmatic. But...(and it is a big BUTT)...I have a waiting list for the pair. I will likely not pull it until late this year. It's an 8ba and overheats quite easily. The trans leaks like a sive but is a smooth runner. I have to decide on a fair price for the combo so that I can subsidize my 5.0 venture and I want to make sure that the buyer is aware of the leaks, etc. If it comes around to it, I may end up posting it on the HAMB O'dex. You need a flatty and FordOmatic? Shall I put you as number three on the waiting list? Michael
Grinder, Good to hear from you. Seems like you and I have similar tastes in the finer things in life. It's a good mix for me and my son, David. David is going to be driving the wagon when it's done. So, we have a multitude of shows to go to now. Not just the regular shows and the exclusive Ford shows but the exclusive Mopar shows as well. I still owe a couple of pictures on this board.
