When you do get the belts, Get the correct type of mounting plates! NOT just a big washer. The square edge of a washer, even a round one, can shear the metal of the pan in a severe impact. The edges of the correct type are curled away from the mounting surface to prevent shearing. The Juliano's were mentioned earlier. Parr also sells a set. They retail around $15 a set. Cheap peace of mind. A link to the Juliano's: http://www.julianos.com/anchor_plate.html
Yeah, I took him and mama home from the hospital in it after he was born! He is two and a half now and he likes to ride in it. He says "moke de tires daddy!" And then makes the turbo swish with his mouth all the time playing with his hot wheels. I would really hate to screw up and loose him. I think I will put the seatbelt in the middle! Thanks!
I don't mean to hijack this thread...but my question is on topic. What is the best seatbelt setup for the rear seat area? are lapbelts sufficient for growing kids? someone mentioned the possibility of rolling out of it. I'm installing 3-point shoulder belts up front and 2 or 3 lapbelts in the back bench (57 ranchwagon). I will try to include loops behind the seat to anchor baby seats and booster seats...good enough?
