What a sweet ride. Glad to see it again. I don't think there was a bad lookin car in 1957.

Wow man, can't wait to see it in person. Wish I'd had about another week on it before I had to come down here. So you're gonna make it down here for the show?
I think I had the plague, been sick all week. Stripping & sanding really ****s when you can't breath to start with...Let me know when your gonna be down here. It's gonna be down to the wire with what i'm working on here.

Thanks for all the kind words... I just came from doing the last two coats of clear, or at least I hope.. I think it came out pretty good, especially since I am not a painter, I repeat I AM NOT A PAINTER... there are spots that I will forever know are there... there are a few places that will need some more wetsanding and some buffing... But I feel like I accomplished something...

I've never painted in my life. Nothing more that some model cars that looked like ****. That car is gorgeous. I totally love the Sea Foam. My 54 was that once upon a time (now primer, blue, green, sea foam, blah blah blah). I do love pearl though and always wanted to do the sea foam with a cream top and pearl it all up. You are a paint shop hero!

lmao... I am no hero, that's for sure... EarlScheib, Donny, and a few others that can be named here are hero's... I still have some fixing to do... a little orange peel to wetsand out... a little buffing to do and the paint job will be decent... but by no means do I think it is worthy of being called a hero... I can sit and point out every flaw and piece of junk in it... And not to forget that Switchblade327 did the body work... he would've done the paint and for sure a much better job than I...

I was gonna, but the clear didn't cure enough, it was still a little tacky, wind picked up outside and I really didn't want to screw it up... tomorrow I'm hauling *** up to Jersey and back with my '38 Buick I bought and I'll get her outside Tuesday as long as it isn't raining...

  13. Z,

That car was gorgeous the first time I saw it a few years back, and it's just lookin' better!!!

    I wish I wasn't a builder the way you aren't a painter...

Hey Steve long time no see... if you get a chance stop by the shop, we're only a couple doors up from Ray Price Harley Davidson...

  15. Yeah, the Chevy's been on hold for a while...life keeps getting in the way. I missed the news on the shop, so it may be old news by now. Congratulations on it, great location! I'll drop by soon!

Actually, I'm catching up on my TRJ, lurking here more and getting the itch, but I have no time...when I come by, if you're agreeable, I may "tawk sum bidness" with you...

    See you directly,
    Steve
