Chrysler steering wheel ID? Year?

    Any idea on what year this wheel is? I saw it in a junkyard yesterday and took a quick pic and had no clue on the year.

    My guess would be early 40's. Sorta looks like the one from my 40 Dodge. later shawn

    I have the series of books that you've probably seen at Borders or Barnes and Noble that cover American cars from the 30's thru the 60's. In Cars of the Fascinating 40's there is a '40 Chrysler that has a steering wheel that looks like that one right down to the blue accent paint on the horn ****on.

    Are you going to grab it?

    My 1940 Plymouth same wheel less the horn ring .The speedometer on my car also has the same squares for the light to shine thru .
