    Malcom,

    Car looks fantastic man!

I'm sure you may have said before, but can you give the details on the suspension changes you made to get that stance? It's purrfect!!!!!

    Thanks, in advance.

    Thanks all!

I put airbags on it from Airride Technologies. Up front the bag replaces the coil spring and the shocks are relocated to behind the control arms. I cut about 1/2" to 3/4" off the bump stops and installed Granada spindles and disc brakes. The Granada spindles lowered the front about 1 to 1-1/2" compared to the stock spindles.

In the back I removed one leaf (smallest) from each side and added the "air-over-leaf" airbags. I also installed 2" lowering blocks to bring it down more. I don't have to run much air pressure in the rear 'bags since they are more of a "helper" airbag.

In the pics I have it pretty low. The front will go down maybe another 1/2" and the back was all the way down. The back will come down a little more (at the most, 1") when I'm hauling stuff in the trunk. I usually drive it down the highway raised about 2"-3" above "aired out". In town I can get away with a little lower than that. Some of the streets around here are pretty crappy, though.

When the front is at it's lowest, the front cross member is only about 2" off the ground. I can cruise slowly at that height, but the road has to be real smooth and flat.

    Any other questions, just ask!

Hey, soon enough, your car (which is very cool, by the way) will be back on the road. Glad you guys came over on Sat. night - what a blast!

...and just so everyone else knows, this is the guy that helped us out a ton with the roof painting project. Thanks again, Joe!

    Yep - thanks!

looking good! The wheels fit perfect on the Galaxie! I also like the contrast between the flat red car and the bright red flaked roof

Jeff (Hiboy32) is coming over tonight to run the buffer over the roof one more time. Then it's time to clean it up for the Omaha World of Wheels. Depart for Austin one week from tomorrow - woohoo!

The old wheels are Mopar 15x7 w/ 4" backspacing. I'll send you a PM with more info, what I want to get out of them, etc.

Car looks absolutly killer Malcolm. This Galaxie is so completly dialed in, it's been fun watching it get to this point over the years. Even if most of it was in my rear view mirror:cool::D See Ya, Gary

Well, Gary, talk about your rear view mirror all ya want....
Too bad I won't be seeing you in my rear view mirror going down to Austin next week. :(

That's ok, though we'll have a blast down there and won't let you forget it! :D

hey man, looks very nice....I dig it. Nice rim choice.

It was great to see you at the swap meet in Lincoln, sorry if I seemed short with you, I was on a mission to find some front runner rims for my new project. Looking for somthing in a 15x4 GM of Ford pattern gasser style type rim.

I will be heading down to the car show this weekend (World of Wheels)

    See ya,
    Sticks
