Saturday morning, I met up with Stevo at his house and we set out for Winchester, KY to look at a fellow HAMBers 28 Ford Coupe. Stevo was in line to FINALLY get an A Coupe. On the trip down, we stopped off in Cincinnati and picked up Tim, aka Redneck Smooth. We decided that this would make the best of our entertainment dollar. Once we found Ernies house, aka Kentucky; he led us over hill and dale, literally; to his fathers farm. Once we got there, we hiked out to the back 40 and sitting next to the barn was this Heres a shot of Stevo being goofy next to his new car. Once Ernie had the coupe chained to the tractor and started to tug on it, he realized that it was prolly in gear. So Ernie found the shifter and proceeded to put it in neutral, thus making the coupe a little easier to drag. That would have made it real easy except for the fact that the front left brake was hanging and as soon as it let loose, the left rear brake hung up. With these brake issues, it was easy to tell where the car came from Stevo made some kind of comment to Tim about his own attire and thats when Tim started giving Stevo nine kinds of Hell about how he wasnt dressing correctly; Stevo needed to have his denim cuffed, a minimum of 8 inches from what I remember hearing. So, Stevo reluctantly but promptly cuffed his denim as much as he could. Nice job Stevo. Once loaded, the coupe was strapped down and we headed back up north to Stevos house for the next phase of this build to start. Saturday night, Stevo had some friends come over and help him lift the body off the stock chassis and place it on his roller. He sent some pix of the body on the roller via e-mail and Im at work now so Ill post them later tonight. I will say its pretty cool. I also have a mess of stills that I took with my film camera. Ill post some of the better ones when they come back. Vance
