I'd go with cragars with redlines or dual narrow stripe whitewalls, mid '60sish....

If you want to blend in run the cragars. If you want to turn heads go with the WW

 

I've had the car for about 6 months now...bought it as a family cruiser...

 

personally i'd rock the 15" old school torq thrusts (the ones with the dull finish) with narrow tires in the front and fatter and slightly taller tires in the rear. bring the body down a bit so it sits lower in front. remove the side trim entirely or find a more interesting place to put it. smooth out the bumper mounts on the bumpers and rechrome. get rid of the excessive chrome doodads. medium to dark earthy paint job, 1 color.

i think what makes 57s look generic is NOT the wheels it runs, but the typical two tone scheme they all run and the stock side trim. but really it's the whole package that'll make it look unique.

well i'm gonna try and order some white walls this week, 2.5" or 3" whitewalls ???.... bias for sure, no radial whitewalls, 710-15 FIRESTONE 2 3/4" WW ???? or 760-15 COKER CLASSIC 3" WWWhat kind of whitewalls.................. hmmmmmmm....
