Has anyone here ever dealt with them and used one of their axles?

  4. Good to deal with. I bought my 4-bar bushings from them and will get a spun aluminum fuel tank soon.

  5. Being in their store is a treat. It feels like walking into an old speed shop. They even have the old catalog racks, like the old parts stores.

Have one of their axles under my roadster for 8 years no problems whatsoever. And the guy who handles front end parts, if you have questions is great to deal with. They will beat Speedway prices on parts. I would recommend them anyone.

I was thinking of using one of their axles to drop the front of the '23 dodge. I was thinking I could get it real low using the 7" drop axle and will not have to dearch the springs. I was also thinking of asking about putting the spring pad on the bottom of the axle to flip it on top of the springs and get another 2" out of it.

Dont mean to interrupt, but I have tried in the past to locate a website for MAS with no luck...Do they have one?

I have never used their stuff, but have seen the six inch dropped tube axle and it looks great for the price.

  13. I would have to agree with grumpy on that one!!

  14. they have no web site. Dealt with them many times and have been totally satisfied, up till now. Ordered a spun gas tank in jan. they took my money then, it's now march and still isn't here. Called today and was told to expect it next week. We'll see. Took my money quick enuff. I expected the same in recieving my parts.

I ordered a 3 1/2 gallon tank and it, too, had to be backordered. I am well pleased with the unit sent and would readily do business again. I believe these are out-sourced and not built in-house so it may take a while. Also bought a '32 Austin Bantam roadster body (fiberglass) from them for an altered project down the road. Glasswork not the greatest, but worth what I paid.

The web site couldn't suck more. I've been telling them for years they needed a good web site and now at least they are working on it, but it is the most user un-friendly piece of crap I've ever seen.
That said, I'd agree with the input here, friendly; good prices, good gear, I have and will spend my money there. I've heard they are the folks that actually build Speedway's axles. I don't know if that's true or not.

I had them make up a dropped axle to my specs and had it within two weeks and it was done exactly to what I'd asked for. Great guys to deal with and super helpful over the phone - they know their s&*t.

I agree that their website needs work. I followed the link above and was looking thru it. I don't know how I did it, but I clicked on one of their product and ended up in Jeg's online site, so I had to check them out too.

I have their 4" drop tube axle kit on my car, built for econoline spindles. The axle is well made. The spring hangers and bushings were kinda cheesy, and the spring is sort of short, and not a reversed eye....Next time I will just buy the axle and put the rest together myself

I have a straight axle under my '65 Nova... really good guys to deal with. I also got their brake setup, springs, drag link, etc. to complete my front end. It was a good price, too.

I went to junior high across the street from their first store in Minneapolis. Used to dream about the day I'd be able to actually buy something there and put it on my hot rod (1967). The day finally came, time to put ignition on my Studillac about 15 years ago. It was like my birthday! The guys are knowlegeable and very busy. They are now on sort of a back street just off of University which takes a little hunting to find. Just a door in a big wall, but, what's inside.........!

i have been there a few times and bought front axle kits and one rear spring kit.. all i can say is nothing fits together properly without drilling hairpins and having to have axles honed.. speedway would never stay in buiseness if they sold crap like mas does!!!!

Who keeps digging up 2 year old threads? I've never had a bad part from them over the past 4 years...luck? maybe, but they've been good to me...
