working on a 55 4dr wagon, the tailgate cables are there a difference in the lengths between a nomad and 4dr wagon. A friend of mine give me some cables and they seam too long and I'm guessing a nomad has a longer length. Don't know. the cables I have are 45" long thanks does anyone know how long the 4dr wagon cables are?

The Nomad cables are indeed longer than the regular wagons. Someone put the short ones in my '56 Nomad, and the tailgate won't open all the way. Don't know the exact length until I take them out though.

  5. the tailgates on the Nomads lean in at a steeper angle that the nearly vertical gate on the wagons, therefore longer cables on the nomads. Hope you have the tension springs already.
