What are the main and rod bearing clearances, the torque specs for rods and mains, and who makes the best rear main seal for a 324? Read about a Kevlar impregnated (I think) rope seal about 2 months ago. Is the 324 rear seal rope or rubber? Thanks, fellow Rocketeers.

My 324 has a rope seal in the rear main. Is there something else out there?

you pretty much said it...the "best" rear main seal gasket is made by the "best" gasket company. It is a newly manufactured 2 piece neophrene(i think) seal that can be slipped in there without removing the crank.More about that if you need the info. The seal is pretty pricey but you will be asking someone to give you a sharp kick in the *** if you try to save a couple bucks and put a rope seal back in there. The seal is probably still avail. on ebay or many other sources.
