Need some help finding the ****** cooling lines. They were plugged up by previous owner and all we got at the shop is 3 speeds. Can anybody help identify where the lines go? I think I narrowed it down to these two. Thanks.

Mine's lying on the garage floor so I'm looking at it from above! If you're looking at the ****** from underneath, they're at the rear on the p***enger side of the tailshaft, with the inlets facing toward the rear axle. The top one plugs into an "L" shaped fluid galley that dies into the bolt-on side cover.

    Hope this helps!

thanks rdstr31, i think that's the plug on the 1st pic. the second pic looks like it's got fluid all around it. kind of a dead give away i guess.

been looking all over the net for a diagram, looking thru an old book at the shop and haven't come up with anything. just want to be sure before i spill that **** all over the floor

Check out the "Old Car manual Project" They have a shop manual up there that might show it.

Those plugs in the pics look like they go into the area around the vaccuum modulator (it's hard to tell from the pics). The line plugs are above and to the rear of the modulator, on the p***enger side up near the top, at the rear of the ****** facing the rear axle. They're about 3" apart, with the bottom one about 1" below and to the outside of the top one. The top one plugs into an L shaped galley. I'd take pics but I'm at work...:)

What rdstr31 said. I just hooked mine up on a 53 Pontiac last weekend. Originally, they go to a special waterpump (Pontiac) or trans cooler. Some as part of the radiator. Mine has an add-on transcooler in front of the radiator.
