Any suggestions on how I can change the 53 Merc to Ball joints?
Will 54/55 Merc or Ford A frames bolt up? They had ball joints then I could get dropped spindles & disc brakeswhich is what I want. Or If I could get dropped spindle supports I have seen disc brakes for the 53. Whatever I want to lower the car.

Call Tom Culbertson in Indy. He did a similiar conversion just a couple of weeks ago.

Curious myself since I have a 53. I would think it might be easy, then again the frames are really different from 53 to 54.

Crossmembers are in way different places in those two years. (I was thinking of putting a 54 Lincoln engine/trans in mine, but the flathead is beautiful and runs like a top):D Let us know how it goes.

Get 2" dropped uprights from Fat Man fabs and keep the king pin suspension...

I've been trying to get them for the '54 Canadian Meteor (same as a '53 Ford), but haven't been able to get a response..

    Haven't tried too hard though...
