CADILLAC Head ID help

anyone know what year my cad heads are? pretty sure they are 331

casting numbers = 1458612-3 2-19

valve head Diam.= int. 1.750 , exh. 1.565

1949-1952 ?

I need some valves and can't find them listed by size just years.

i think all 331 valves should be the same, but im no expert. One thing that i do know is that 49 heads do not have a frost plug in the back of them (facing firewall) Im not sure when they started getting them, but by 53 they had them.

Not much help, but a bit i guess.

 

'49-'51 exhaust valves were 1 7/16. The 1 9/16 valves your heads have were used from '52-'56.

 

yup, so i dont know ****e! oh well. at least it give me an excuse now to crunch the numbers and see which ones are actually better for power. hahah, yeah, its cold and im bored.

thanks for enlitening me. Im pretty sure both my pair are 49s.

49-52 int. = same
53-56 int = same

49-51 exh. = same
52 exh unique?
53-56 exh. = same

Any casting numbers available? guy that gave me my cad said it had 58 heads on the 55 motor but I've never been able to verify it. don't want to pull a head to check valve sizes.
