I've had this car 17 years now, time to do something with it. A wreck and bent up frame makes it a perfect g***er candidate. Can anyone tell me where to find a good quality correct width tube straight axle?

MAS sells a nice tube axle kit reasonable.I think the whole kit for my Falcon minus the spindals and draglink was about $600 shipped to my door.It came with the axle ,new kingpin kits, center link with heim ends, tierod brackets ,springs ,mounts ,ubolts and spring bolts and bushings .If i had it to do over again i woulda just ordered the axle ,tierod brackets ,center link and kingpins from them and got the springs and other parts at the local trailer supply .It woulda been cheaper for the same thing. You should pm my friend S****e on here about straight axle info.He helped me straight axle my Falcon in just a couple of days and he has straight axled many tri -5's ...

Don't use Speedway straight axles on a Tri five. They are too narrow. You can use a '49-54 Chevy truck axle because with the spindles mounted it is almost the exact width of the stock suspension of the '55 Chevy. MAS can help you out if you want a new set up.
