Well.. Starting a new build.. and well it has to be a wood thing..just not sure which and what...I have a bunch of cowls to choose from for the start..and too many ideas on paper and in the old grey matter... so what is a woodguy to do.. so I love to see the wooden box cars out there...
I would love to see you do another Model A hotrod but with 4 doors like Henry (similar to the blue one with creme wires. Do it with about the same roof line or slightly taller (closer to stock).. and do***ent how you built it. What cowls do you have available to work with?
I'm also glad your starting on another project. Hope your leaning toward a earlier full bodied woodie (pre 40). The roadsters just don't look right done out of wood. http://public.fotki.com/wackydave/car_shows/car-shows-2008/grand-national-road/012508gnrs013.html
I gotta agree with Ken,,,,my favorite is your ol' blue Model A woodie,,,,,the look will always be in style. HRP
Yep, I'd like to see a car never done before. What about a '60 Ford (like KIRKs Starliner) with wooden horizontal fins? LOL!
So what cowl have you decided to use? Or are you still working on the sketches? Enquiring minds want to know.
any Pics or ideas...I am still stuck on what to build .. so many ideas that I am lost at this point..lol
This is a Bantam, but I like the curved roof and angled rear. Go to Google images for a bunch of woodie pix.
Where did the blue one go, you still have it or is it in someone elses collection. How about building 32 ford woodie bodies. seems everyother 32 is being repoped, as a business I would think you could make it work as long as it the body was close to stock but with roll up windows. especially if you cold use a 32-34 truck cowl as the starting point (lots of those around).
i'll jump on the blue wood bandwagon... kens 32 was another too cool ride both in primer and yellow.., along with your black one... how anout a thames woodie...? brandon
so many ideas..lol ...but none of these..this is old art.. . I have so many concepts drawn.. I will post some of what I am thinking of building.. wood
