I just brought this panel truck home. The car was originally ran as "The Flying Dutchman" in PA. It was green with Cragars and located between Lebanon Lancaster area. It then got painted white and went to Texas as a street rod and eventually back to PA and then got chopped and pro streeted. Anybody need a pro street ch***is?

I remember seeing pictures of a Thames called the Flying Dutchman in magazines back in the late 60's/early 70's but that's all I know about it. Seems to me it was in Popular Hot Rodding. I wanted an Anglia or Thames when I was a teenager and bought every magazine I could get with a picture of one. You going to make it back into a g***er?

Yes, The guy that I got it from changed it around but he still had the original, rear, dash, interior, shifter and gl*** nose. He lost all his pics in a fire:( I would like the pics to put it back to as close to the way it was and un chop it. I will be needing a roof to a Thames panel to do that. Anybody have a roof?:D

It rings a bell with me too but can't place it off the top of my head. I was thinking it was in hot rod in the 70's. I'll dig thru my magazines in the shop tomorrow to see what I find.

O.k after a quick search supposedly there is a car on the sep. 1966 cover of Drag strip magazine Vol. 3 #5 called the flying dutchman. I don't know if that is it. No pictures but right time frame. I don't have any of those magazines. Look under dragworldusa.com, they sell old magazine

Yes, Jade green. I'm sure it could have had a couple of engine combo's.

That's sounding real familiar! Didn't it have gold lettering?

Some of you will remember this, but a racer named Al Vanderwoude ran a series of racecars called "The Flying Dutchman".

Al Vander Woude had one g***er, a '35 Willy's coupe, and was in So-Cal at the time (never in PA).

Was it still around as the flying Dutchman in the early 80's?...Sounds familiar and I may have a picture of it...It would have been at Englishtown raceway park NJ....If that sounds possible I will look..I have a bunch of early 80's photo I just have to find them
