It takes way more cajonies to drive a '60s style show rod from California to Texas than a "regular" hot rod. You are building a dream car man.. I'm glad that you took it to GNRS, it was cool to see all the pix.. & it deserved the ****ing trophy. - Joe
That is some funny ****....Ha Ha....hang in there Piero you know who your real friends are. Don't let the HH guy fluster you. That is the baddest *** coupe I have seen in years.
Well Piero, do you need help??? I'm not familiar with the Cadillac stuff, but I know engines, somewhat. Chris
I was a latchkey kid too, **** you Piero! haha, but seriously, Piero did what he could to get the car going and I give him props for wanting to drive a newly finished car from LA to Texas, and his car was in the Suede Palace at the GNRS, the rules in that room are totally different, different judges, different trophies, primers ok, and so are in progress cars from what i can tell, Alex makes the decision on who gets in that room and who doesnt. Pieros car didn't compete with any of the cars in the main show which DO have to run to be judged. trust me I know.....I built my car in a year too by the way....it's a hell of a lot of work, and I thought I might not make it either.
ya know what ? i for one am glad he took it even if it did not run . he took it because that was his goal to get it there .PLUS there were other guys involved who worked themselves to death in addition to piero . it would have been a real bummer for us to have killed ourselves and not have the car there . i know i would have been really disappointed .and like everybody involved with that car are proud of piero .the plan was to have it running and driving under its own power.. no trying to fool anyone at all . if he was he would have hooked up fuel lines . and faked it... . so **** you for kickin a guy when he is down ... we get your point not move on ... i find it really hard to believe he can get that motor back together in 24hrs . especially if he needs machine work done ... it is better to spend the money he would have spent going on this trip and put it in his motor so he can attend the other shows this season ... i got an email the other day from a member here asking why i don't come on here that much anymore . well, it is because of the dudes on their high horses talking **** like you ... piero i feel your pain and have been there before . coming up short on getting a car done for a show SUX. but you are doing the right thing here .keep me updated on the progress .
Ya!! What he said!!! P.S. It was going to be trailered... Hahahahaha Dammit... I am a gold chainer....Hahaha we were going to dial it in Texas... But maybe drive to DOTD. Chris: Thanks man for the offer I'll let you know when we start to get into it... I was a latchkey kid as well I wanted to start a band called Latchkey kids..
one of the worst feelings is not being able to bring your car to a show that you have been planning to attend for a while,,,,it happened to me with my 41 caddy quite a few times, so i speak from experience,,i dont understand why someone has to post negative bs about the situation,,,,what do you think, he didnt really want to bring his car?....
BMX MadMAN!!! Yes Donnie thats right brother.... I really have allot of good friends that are so much closer to me since this build...and i really proud of that... you all made it real. Kip.
ok but just this time . and i am in the hizzouse..haha .. lets do that t-bird dan .. talk soon man , donnie
denise , i know. i won't . but i had to take a break . i bust my *** all day all week on cars . then come here to veg out and enjoy more of our hobby . all the **** talkin just wears after a while ...
Well. P. you know what they say about 60's show rods....... Alll show and No Go ........ !!!!!!!! Sorry little buddy.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!! your motor looks like mine!!!! Poor *******... Guess well just have to wait till Ventura.... Got an extra Caddy block if you need parts.
I could get that motor back together in 24 hours. Not in a row mind you, I mean I would spend about 24 hours on it,,, over 3 years. The Latchkey Kids! That rocks.
I hate you. damm dude...hahahahaa I won't be at back to the beach..i'll be on Vacation... at a diffrent beach.. but i'll be shooting for rod and kulture Drags and Santa Maria.. is your apart right now??? i'll keep that block in mind thanks dude...
The Latchkey Kids! That rocks. [/QUOTE] I have a van so I can **** Latchkey Kids.... It's not my fault they are sooo ***y.... I Know the real reason you aren't going to Austin... I won't be there to say something offensive and make you feel better. I am shooting, a big load, for next year. Thats if I don't have another little Cheater running around by then. It probally won't happen unless my wife goes back to banging the other mail man again... I am pretty sure my wiener doesn't work anywho.... What was this post about again??? **** ADD is a messed up way of life. CheaterJack
Co'mon Evel tell the truth! You're getting your Glam Band back together (Reunion) and headlining Bogart's in LB (Hahahaha). I know there's pic somewhere........ Ken
After 123 posts of a few of you guys bashing on each other. This is pathetic. It should be obvious to anyone on the board that has followed Evel's build that he has thrashed his *** off to get as far as he has gotten with his car. I'm sure no one is more disappointed about not being able to take his car to the LSR than him. For a few of you (damn few by the way) to hide behind your keyboard and bust a guys chops with your *********** remarks is amazing. Do you really think Evel could have it going in 24 hours?. Where I live, it would take 24 hours bare miniumm just to get a new gasket set for an old caddy V-8. I could do updates on what my son and I work on weekly but it's not how we operate. Guys like Evel, Kirk, Plowboy, the Dirty's and many others give us build updates on their projects. I enjoy reading them and I know others do too. Sounds to me like most all of this drama is based on jealousy. Evel, don't worry about what anyone else thinks. You have worked hard to get your car to where it is today. You done good. The LSR was not in the cards for this year.
