OK, this is for my 30/31 Brookville hiboy. I had to move the steering wheel to the right about 3 inches in order to get room to get my left knee up between the door and the steering wheel and onto the clutch pedal. (I got big feet and long legs) Just moved it at the dashboard mount and angled it down to the floor and let the first U-joint on forward side of the firewall handle the angle. Much better for room to get in and out was a fringe benefit. The pedal ***embly is what was in the car when I got it, partially finished, an under floor mount setup from Brookville I ***ume, as that's where the frame and other stuff came from. I'm having a helluva time finding room between that big ol' Lakewood bellhousing with the pedal all the way down, and the pedal pad hitting the angled steering column when the pedal is all the way up. Not a lot of room with the pinched '32 frame from Brookville and that big bellhousing. I may end up having to use a swinging pedal ***embly, one of those that puts the master cylinders up under the dash board inside the car. I don't want to put them out under the hood, trying to keep the firewall clear as possible. How in hell do you check or add fluid to those cylinders with them up under the dash like that? By touch and feel? Mirrors? WTH? Anybody had any dealings with these? They're high dollar and I don't want to buy them and then be dissatisfied with them. And I've never seen one on a car. Dave
In our race cars we just put a hatch in the dash with a couple Dzus fasteners to hold it. I have also put a hatch in the fire wall to reach them as well. I'm not sure that's something I would want to do in a Hot rod or street type car though. Have you looked at the master cylinders that use the remote reservoirs? Maybe you could locate them to a better spot,
