I am pondering the "non-traditional" coil over springs for the rear of my kids 30 A coupe build. They show all kinda of different spring weights. Should I wait til the car is closr to finished and weigh all 4 corners of the car to get an accurate reading?

This will be a 30 A coupe on 32 rails with a sbc, straight axle and automatic ******.

    Thanks

    Root

Are your coilovers adjustable? I mean, is the spring cup threaded so you can adjust ride height after the springs are installed? You won't have to be so exact if they are.

350lbs..springs are purdy much standard. If your using an adjustable shock mount it's good to set them up at the lowest point( closest to the ground). That way if you add more weight you can bring the shock up and do your fine adjustment with the shock. 350+350=700lbs..

It really depends on the finished total weight. Unless your building a full fendered luxo rod, I think you're going to be happier with springs in the 200# range. I have Carreras with 150# springs on my 2000# rdstr. and they are about right, set on medium. BTW- hit the oval track swap meets for springs and you will, literally, be tripping over them and they usually go for about $20 or less in about any length/rate.
