and my 62 biscayne is outside, at my dad's house. it's got a cover on it, but i''m gonna be pissed if the hail's big enough to dent that old sheetmetal. it's only outside 'cause i got a notice from the county about my 'other' car. they called it inoperable and unlicensed.

i guess i can't really argue with that...

Will you be at Forrest Park on Sunday? If so I'd like to meet ya. I talked with Nick Sr. the other night and he told me he would introduce us.
    See you then...

It hailed pretty good hear in Waterloo. My truck is outside it doesn't look like it has any damage and the hood and roof on that thing is really flat. You can sit on the hood in the middle and it will pop in. Hopefully your car will be ok.

  6. NO HAIL HERE, BUT WE DID GET 4-6 INCHES OF THE WHITE **** LAST NIGHT.....COME ON SPRING.....MAYBE IF I START ALL MY CARS UP HERE I CAN CREATE SOME GLOBAL WARMING UP HERE...JOHN

I hoping to have Mr. Chevy at Forrest Park this Sunday, be interesting to meet some of the other Hambers there, stop and say hi. Did any of you guys make Waterloo last Sunday? I found the website for the Concours de Elegance for registration but they don't want Mr. Chevy up there. Do any of you know the website for registration information on the Real Easter Show? Anyway, hope to see you there.

...speaking of hail; here's an old pic of my ol 59 Biscayne covered with hail. Yup, all that white stuff is hail, didn't hurt the ol Chevy at all.

  17. Hey, New member here. Couldn't help but notice the tagline of this post since I fix hail (paintless) for a living. I live in Waterloo, IL so maybe I'll run into some of you at the swapmeet this Sunday.

Call it art! It is not an unlicensed car but rather art. They cant tell you what art is. Problem solved.

Steve, my Capri was damaged all over in a hailstorm years ago. I got most of the dents out though, except the ones where it was double skinned, Bondo was my friend in that situation.
My wagon went through one when I was driving it, insane golf ball sized hail, it didn't get one dent.

    Best o luck.

My Brother usta have a '58 Mercury that got hit with Nebraska Golf Ball hail back in '70.
It was an ugly Red & White 4 door so he didn't much care about the dozen or so craters.
Just glad it didn't break any gl***.
We experimented with dry ice on them but no luck.
In '70 it was just an old car...

O never mind I just read your profile and I live like 2 miles past you on HH.

I seen you recently just aquired that black and orange shoebox, very nice.

I have a flatblack 53 Dodge and my dad has a bright yellow 40 Dodge. We also have 3 old BMW motorcycles, one has a side car.

I'll have to stop by sometime when I see ya outside.

  27. Yup, that would be me. Stop in anytime- I'd like to see your car.
