Damn man I love the roll bar on that. Looks like you have looked at alot of old photos. Ahhh, leaning tower of power. Takes me back to my 76 dodge aspen. I dont think anyone can kill one of those motors. I tried. Good times.
The ultimate speed trick, a light weight driver. Looks like you are about 220 lbs lighter than me. Good work.
thats HIGH praise comming from you dude... we cant take credit for these ch***is tho... cowboy bob and 2b-banjo were the ones who did all the hard work figuring these tubes out... we just cant say enough good about those two guys!
ha,ha. Thanks. Looks like cowboy bob and 2b-banjo have the market cornered on HA/GR ch***is' in my book. It seems like me and cowboy bob have something else incommon besides makin spectators get the willies and such. We both like weldin tube.
hey, i been ALL over your pics of the build of the barn job... and i cant for the life of me find an answer... what axle is that on the front of that car? its AWESOME
Thanks for the heads-up Fiddy, I added notes to the appropriate pictures. I'm pretty sure it's just a plain old '29 Ford, with rather a bit of whittling. One warning please, gentlemen. Some round holes between the hangers is one thing, a full set of slots is quite another. Be careful if you do this, it severely weakens the axle for braking purposes (no front brakes on ours) and limits the loading capacity as well. Be certain you understand the geometry of your specific application, it can be very weak if done wrong. Hey Mr. Bill ....... I've searched and searched, and can't find a really cool song anybody's ever written for our dragster like they did for yours. What we gonna have to do to git us one?
yea i took me a little while to find a name i liked another guy from the frozen tundra build and a fellow vagabond brian white aka whitey named his car white lightning another cool old tune
Bill that thing looks great! I cant wait to see what you come up with for a header design on that thing...
