I came across these guys in West Sacramento: Metal Craft Warehouse: 916.374.9003 (Alan) They have a real good selection and are fairly priced. I picked up a 20' length of 2" x 3" x .120" steel tube for $67.00 which was pretty compe***ive as I only purchased one length. They have a real good selection, including hot rivits and rot-iron stuff.
Ive been to Metal Supermarkets for the occasional piece, they have stores across US, Canada and the UK. www.metalsupermarkets.com
Blue Collar Supply on Florin Perkins Road has always been a good supplier of metal, especially remnants, stainless, br***, aluminum, cap screws etc. They also have new metal in full size sheets and bar stock.
cool, i will check them out. It is always good to have a few suppliers around. I use my company to negotiate rates on what i buy, which usually helps.
Ive had good experiences with C & C and Blue collar and simms C & C and simms are in rancho off sunrise by Hwy50
NEVER go to Gerlinger steel and Supply. They are a joke. They quoted me a price durring two seperate phone calls for 1 1/2 inch round tubing and said they had it in stock. I got in my truck and drove over a hour to get there. When I got there they said they have it but its in Redding. I guess in-stock means in there warehouse 2 hours away. I am so mad at these jerks. Then they proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and that they told me that they needed to order the steel and it would be there in a couple days. I called them 3 days before to check prices and see if it was in stock. Then I called right before leaving to be sure they still had it. I am so mad at these guys and will never do buisness with them and I advise everyone to stay away and use a nother supply shop
try s and k steel. its about a couple of blocks down from blue collar. they have everything and will cut it too...
