Has this happened to Rods & Customs yet- Merged

  1. I dunno about that happening in particular. We get a lot of local coverage on drag raceing, usualy its on a long twisty stretch of boulavard.

I have had a minor problem with the city I live in it seems that they have mistaken my daily driver for junk in my driveway, they sent me a letter and said I could not have a disabled car in my driveway. They said if I didn't rectify the situation they would summons me to court.

i thought they were talking about the wife's belair as it isn't road worthy yet. So I called to see if we could come to some sort of compromise. Turns out the vehicle in question is the Pusher, my daily driver. I explianed to the fella that it is my daily transportation and is pefectly legal. He said they would consider my call and may haps I would have my chance to prove in court if it was alright for me to park my old truck in my driveway, something to do with property values or the like.

OK, OK sorry for the whine fest. Anyone got some cheese?

I've been getting emails saying the police in Ca. Are spending tons of ratepayers money on overtime h***eling car enthusiasts of all kinds. Sounds terrible - any truth to this. Stuff happening in California seems to work it's way east.

News to me too, all though I did get pulled over today in my '62 Cadillac for not using my turn signal, but the cop ended up saying the car was nice and reminded him of his gradfathers "caddy" so he let me go with a thumbs up...

I remember seeing something about it in the papers, just some riverside guys with souped up engines accused of racing. For the most part they seem cool about 'em.

If you read the article you'll see that the Police har***ed the import punks. Personally I don't freel sorry for them and I'm sick n tired of their loud megaphone exhaust, pierced eye lids, lips and noses, their bling, bling and blam, blam and hair so spiked that they look like a damn chia-pet.
You act like a punk you get messed with. Simple as that. How many punks caused major crashes after they saw that pathetic movie The Fast n Th Furious? See my point?

Sometime clues like burnout marks kind of give it away to the cops as to what really goes on. There have been plenty of local cruises that get shut down because of some people who insist on burning out when leaving. If you don't act stupid, the cops usually won't bother you. I had an S-10 with air suspension, crazy stereo, etc. and only got 1 ticket for no front license plate plate. It was only because I went through a state inspection check point. I didn't drive it like an idiot and didn't get h***led. Same goes for hot rods. The only time I have ever been pulled over in a hot rod is because the cop was interested in checking out the car.
