Just dragged home 2 new toys

I thought it might be a bit gay driving Daisy's pink truck, so I thought I might get my own

can't keep both so one has got to go.
Thought about hacking the roof off and making a roadster pickup.
What do you think.

You oughta paint one opposite of Daisy's - where there's pink, paint purple & vice-verse

Roadster pickup - not a bad idea there. Be sure & brace the cab well if you do it.

Roadster would be COOL! I am not sure I have seen Chevy/GMC done roadster style - just Ford's.

I haven't seen one of the 47-54 chevy trucks made into a roadster yet that looked right to me. - but to each his own nice score even on this side of the pond

I like the stock "resto-rod" look personally, but I have seen some cool removable top trucks too.

nice trucks. keep the damn roof . if you were'nt on the wrong friggin continent i'd love to have one of those trucks, always like that body style. like the GMC too.

What ever I do it wont be shiny, spent far to long sorting out all the dents and dings on Daisy's truck

 

Just to be redundant, I don't know about the roadster look for that pickup, I've never much cared for that look either. If you can pull it off, I would love to see some pics.

 

The trucks look to be in good shape. Here's my 48 with the top cut off. As long as the floors and cab corners are good no bracing is needed. The front does get a little movement with out the front sheetmetal in place.

Looks like a great score, I'd leave the roof on though, your forgeting about Englands weather.

 

Morrisman I am afraid they have just came in from the other side of the pond. I dont think we can find 50 year old rust free cars over here.

And yes Daisy's Truck is shiny and causing me lots of grief knocking out all the dents, I'm sure she will update you soon.

 

I'm still trying to get used to the truck roadster thing. The English weather might be tough on a roadster owner. I give any guy credit with the balls to drive a roadster in the rain.

Yeah back home now....the trip was the best! the truck leaves tomorrow & should be here in six weeks.
Anyway you should be working not on this thing.......must go as i have to take my boy out for a spin in the roadster!
